The brief: to produce imagery that was full of power and drama, showing players in action to reflect the excitement of the game.

The solution: shot at night in order to photograph into the dark sky, this commission didn't finish until 5am! And after that the real hard work began... Working to a very tight delivery deadline all the post-production work happened in the 12 hours immediately afterwards, culminating in a perfect display of images capturing elite athletes close-up with all the grit, sweat, toil and excitement of movement clear to see.
