We are so proud of our photographers Simon Mackney who has 12 Finalist images and Lola Hall who has 2 image in the MPA .  This is it…the creme de la creme of TOP photographers around the UK have been submitting their work over the last few months.  There’s some seriously stiff competition out there as you can see from the website panel.

The MPA (Master’s Photographer’s Association) is not for the “amateur photographer” – its more technical then that, including being scored on composition, lighting and technical ability…all of which the judges felt Simon and Lola had when scoring them and making them finalists…no easy fete when your competing with the best the UK has to offer…some are even international travelling from Beijing and Germany!!

Last year Simon won the Olympus Wedding Photographer of the year 2013 and gained £1k for the lovely couple we photographed – the Hoptons, oh and a gorgeous Olympus camera for Simon to play with – wonder if he can do the same with Olympus Portrait photographer of the year…he does have two entrants…fingers crossed, as it’s quite rare to have TWO never mind ONE image as a finalist

 

We originally had 22 images in the finals then had to submit prints to the judging panel where only 12 were then picked out and scored…we won’t find out if we’ve WON till October 19th 2014 in a grand black-tie ceremony in Leicester – so we’ll keep you all updated….no matter what happens – it’s amazing to have made it this far above thousands of entrants!!!  Well done Simon and Lola!
